new server

Is anyone here willing/wanting to start a new server? either a Genesis server or an older low magic server? just seeing if anyone would be interested.

Nah, anph never dies, it always comes back i think its just the same old issue, where no one wants to host a server atm (after the player base took a hit) but with summer coming up, more people will want to play, thats how it usually happens anyway, people get the itch!

low magic anphillia is sounding good... :s focus more towards rp.. heck maybe even a lvl cap at 16.. and there goes a bit of my saliva.. =\

I would definitely join! Think it would fun to go back to he roots.
And I like the idea of a lvl 16 cap. Good idea.

 roleplay isn't for everyone...

there would be crafting and pvp still... should keep the 'uncreative' players who take the rp out of the rpg plenty entertained.

just going backwards with lvl 16 cap low level magic ,if they wanted to keep anph going they wouldve added crafting and areas to the last mod . Give it up anph is dead and if it comes back ill play but it wont last long . I hope im wrong but i really dont see it coming back strong , thats if it comes back at all .

Well actually now im actually playing on the forums now since thats how the game is played

Okay so, i've got hold of a server, like a oooold server, i just have to decide if/what i need to change and then it can go up! just keeping people who are interested updated!

I am interested as well, been running through servers in NWNlist scry, and they are all missing something for me to get really involved in them

And I agree, I too find it hard to motivate myself to get into another MOD/Server out there.

Maybe in a low-magic world?

I was thinking something in the lines of a Lite version of the MOD; fewer spells but spread more evenly across all classes.

I never stray far, this is one of the only games I play so when I get the itch this is where I come. Work has changed lately for me and I have more free time. So get it back up and I will be there!

So, i got a new job, which kind of threw the spanner in the works for what i was working with, it landed up as just me, trying to work with the old nwn that is on nwn vault (not the genesis one the other one). So to cut things short, it'd take me forever xD however if Moth and people get something up and running i'd definitely play (as and when i could of course) so you can +1 to that player base!

I'm sure i know a couple who would play, who probably gave up checking / never checked the forums anyway, imo the best way to go about it is just throw something up, see what numbers you get, no harm in having say a month or two trial?
