Who is in favor of a server wipe?

How long wil this poll be open and if we get a wipe, how soon wil it be???

With the server pop dying out, it is time. Make any major changes you want to now, and let's do it. But first, can we max out some of our in progress characters for funsies? For like a week before the wipe, just give every existing character 40 and like 6 mil gold and put the shops in the fort and let's see what happens. I would very much like to see just how Glebur does when he's maxed out.

That sounds like a great idea You have my vote for that!

Previously was against a wipe but i guess something does need doing, as the player base is clearly dropping and i can admit that I've grown abit bored, hence why I've not been online much this past month.

Got nothing to loose with a wipe, it might introduce more RP, it will definitely introduce more grouping and more interaction between players as no one will be 'twinked' from level 1. If i had to put it down to anything i stopped playing and became bored due to the lack of rp, and if this would bring that back then i would gladly come back and play, or at least give it a shot and see how it goes.

Yeah i'll admit i'm against Undying hosting, due to the sole fact he came back from a ban and the reason he got that ban was for a pretty nasty outburst with another player, but if it comes to it, i'd still play and at least give him a chance, if he messes up i'm pretty sure he knows the consequences so.

I agree with Rann's idea and I am willing to go to Ranzington with my mule and give away all the +6/rare stuff so somebody has some use for it before it's wiped.

(also -not so major but... a few suggests non-snow related things which might be best set in stone before beginning a new round of anph-fun.) [included some majorish problematic/controversal issues which players have been agitated in the past.]

-Archive old roleplay posts and make room on the forum for new ones?
Instead of deleting the posts all together -they're still a good nastalgic read.

-Clearly defined playing guidlines such as;
How many characters?
Limited or... as many as the player wants (like before)
Faction Loyalty?
Rule against players having characters in both factions or... Players playing both sides (like before)
Rule against characters switching factions ic or... permiting rp in game resulting in a character changing factions for a max of 1 time

-PvP/Assault-Defense;
Clearly outlined rules/guidlines of acceptable pvp behavior posted on the forums.

-DM Staff
The same dms or... new dms
DMs have no characters or... Dms can play characters (like before)

(didn't include stuff like effy killing or looting because those issues could be handled ig/ic by players without ooc guidlines/restrictions. Yet i am sure I might be missing a few other things which might benefit being decided apon pre-beginning new round.)

Lets get the wipe now so we can start playing agein befor the summer hit norway!!!!! We can fix the rules while we play

btw, one rule I would like is useing only ONE toon for assult. Meaning if you bring one out and he die, you'll either waite until res or until the fight is over!

So do we have a general idea of when this wipe is gonna happen ? I would love to be part of the level one crowd when it does = ) ... any comments from leadership? and I know its a while from now but if we are still in need of a host when I get back I have a computer set aside completly capable of hosting the mod. Done it before can do it again.

I'm just waiting to hear from Felix and have him send me over the mod so I can get nwnx running.. It doesn't take long at all to /wipe/ the server, I just need the server before I can do anything.

Looks like we will go ahead and just start from scratch. I will save a backup of the current vault in case at a later time we want to resurrect this iteration. UndyingKnight all that's left is for me to send you the current mod which I can do today when I get home from work.

Well sweet. Just one other question ... is the only reason your giving up the Mod is because you have linux?

I have been hosting and playing for a while now and I need a break. The vitural private server was setup on linux with the help of someone who is no longer around to help me install nwnx which comes with wonderful features.
