Server Wipe (lol no hate mail please)

Very straight forward. If we plan on having this Anphillia server be fair and fun for everyone should we wipe so everyone starts out equal? Lets see what the community thinks.

This notion makes no sense.

First off, experience will be raised again. That seems almost a given.

Secondly, there are always changes on a server. Older characters will always have more opportunities, and thus will always be in a position to benefit. That's just how it works.

Should we wipe the server every time we tweak the module? That's the only way to be "fair", but the notion strikes me as patently absurd.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea of a server wipe, but how the hell is it fair to erase peoples work so that those who haven't done as much of it can be equal for a short time?

So again, not necessarily opposed to wipe ideas, but don't think for fairness sake is a real argument.

I'd be cool with a wipe.. but only for the reason that I have never -ever- started from scratch with everyone, and I think that would be fun to do.

Why should everyone thats been around since I started the server back up have to start over? I know I wouldnt want to, that would just make me leave. Plenty of server have done this and player bases drop dramatically when it happens.
