Hey all, I wanted to propose an idea on here and see what type of feedback came out of it, so here it goes......

What would everyone say to being able to scalp player corpses again during PvP??...just like players were able to in the old school days of anphillia...Same PvP rules as there is now except a "scalping knife" would be required and the player who did the scalping would be able to turn in the enemies scalp to the NPC Captain of the fort and would receive XP as well as GP for each enemy scalp, this being either Daler for cleaven, and Hullet for axfell..Only downfall to it is this would force the player that was scalped to respawn from the fugue plane, however the XP loss would only be a 4,000 XP loss rather then the 8,000 XP loss it would cost if you just were to respawn on your own.... As for how much XP and GP a player would receive for turning in the scalp would be determined by the Dm's obviously..

So 450xp reward for a kill isn't enough and ~4000xp loss for the dying one isn't enough either?

Not really a great move unless you want to lure sneakers to the passages to city who would jump the lowbies.

No it isn't, the 450 xp is deserved for killing the person to begin with... And rewards for the scalp would have to be determined by the level of the player whom was scalped...Also, I think the scalping should only be allowed during assaults/defenses, since that is when most PvP happens..

I do miss that option, also the option to use the scalp in the crafting (CNR Enchanting)..
I'm all for this.. Twisted Evil I would just add, after the scalping you have to burn them (Like the old mod) then they res from the fugue back in the fort.. (Remember seeing an area of buring bodies after an attack..!!)
I have the Old Anphillia running on a server of mine, the CNR based one, scalping is on that mod and is fun just to see all the old areas again..

I, personally, am against anything that adds more a penalty for dying in PvP.

I'm against the scalping due to the glitchyness of it I've experienced in the past.

Kill someone and then right away scalp the corpse... They'll be stuck in the fugue even after losing respawn xp.

... don't expect players to abide by a waiting period curtacy, it's been established on this server in the past that players aren't curtious towards each other... especially where pvp is involved.

Example; Myra's first-ish pvp death a certain someone who was axfell at the time disregarded the picking up the enemy corpse rule.
(not to bring me to city for a raise... the opposite... to place my char's corpse outside of the city to prevent me from being raised.)

I'm against scalping from an RP standpoint. If you scalp someone that changes the appearance of their character. Plus, why would a good aligned Cleaven scalp an Axefell? That doesn't make sense. Mutilating a corpse is completely wrong for a Cleaven, or any Lawful Axefell.

I think I posted something about this earlier in the week but how about just a symbol of some sorts that pops up in your inventory after you kil a opposing char that says the the char you killed and his or her level so you can turn it in for a pvp exp bonus? Or if you want to make it more then just that make it appear on there corpse when you die, this is only from the stand point that you dont get enough exp for pvping... I myself think you should get more but then you take the risk of less RP and more grinding pvp kills.

I think scalping or a PvP reward isn't really needed. First the xp has already been increased from normal PvE, i think the diffuculty of PvE was also lowered(not to sure though) Then the xp loss on death has also been lowered alot. There's no fear of dying, reaching lvl 40 only takes a few weeks. Why gain more xp on a PvP kill? i just think that being almost able to solo everything and almost no losses on death is plenty reward already.
