Back up. Bluescreened about 3 hours after I left for work. Seems that's how it always works. I -think- I've fixed the problem. I HOPE I've fixed the problem. I'll be checking in periodically until I go to sleep.

... But if it crashes again it's guaranteed to be 30 minutes after I go to sleep.

Server seems to be down. Have no idea when it has crashed though

Up. Didn't solve the bluescreen problem. Can't work on it right now, but if it keeps happening we'll have to go back to Raven hosting.

The crash followed a 10-15 minute period of very intense lag.

At least for me the server was lagging quite a bit for the whole time it was online. Before the crash it was more intense though

Just got home from work, sorry everyone. Server is back up.

It seems the BSOD I have been getting has been caused by a corrupted driver for my network card. Driver has been removed completely and the latest version has then been installed. HOPEFULLY this fixes the crashing problem.

As for lagginess, I'm off on Thursday and Friday, but I will have to stay home during a period of time to receive delivery on some new furniture on Thursday. If time allows, I'll be going to switch out my modem for a new one which SHOULD resolve the lag issue and hopefully help some players like sniqow resume playing.

NIC driver issue may likely have been the cause of the issues the server's been having to begin with, here's hoping.

Server is still spiking badly, died twice in spikes.

The original disconnects have to do with this garbage modem/router combination that my ISP gave me when I SPECIFICALLY asked for a modem only because I have my own fairly higher end router already pre-set to host NWN as well as run multiple Xbox 360's connected to Xbox Live. All at the same time actually, as was the case when I was hosting previously and had a roommate. Now, after giving me something I am told is defective, I am likely going to finally get what I actually wanted.

Last couple of days have been awful. Either the lag is so bad that is just kills or the server is down just when we got time to play so I'd like to ask if Raven is still willing to host?

I would appreciate some reading before jumping into things. I'll repeat myself here.

The crashing problem has been fixed. There was a corrupted driver for my network card. A fresh install of the newest driver did the trick.

The network issues have NOT been fixed. I had a tech out who said I needed to replace the modem my ISP gave me. He did not bring a replacement modem with him. I have to go and get one myself. This happened too late in the day on my last day off for me to make that happen. I work retail and I work full days, so the office where I need to go to make such an exchange has been closed whenever I have been available. I am available tomorrow afternoon and the following morning, so I SHOULD be able to make the switch. I make no promises however, because I do have other things that need to be done as well.

Believe me when I say no one is more frustrated with my network issues than I am. I enjoy hosting, and giving everyone a place to play. Plus it gives my desktop a purpose when it would otherwise have none. And these network issues are NOT LIMITED TO THIS GAME. I experience drops and slow loading while mundanely browsing the internet from time to time. And yes, I have spoken with Raven about hosting again IF NECESSARY. The downside to that is that he will no longer be able to provide services as an RPDM, because, as I understand it, he is unable to use the DM client at the same time as running the server. So, yes, Raven can host. No, we are not going back to him at this time. Yes, we will if a new modem doesn't fix the issues. I hope this answers your question.

Server will experience downtime today while I go get a new modem. Downtime will begin in about 30 minutes to an hour, and last... who knows. Hopefully not that long.

Yeah.. actually it came up for 1 min and crashed again. Now it seems to be down for good

Sorry guys, the tech was here and working outside, I was unaware until he needed to be inside. He swapped out a lot of stuff with some brand new equipment and fixed some problems with how it was installed (apparently the first tech was an idiot) so we not only should be back up but we should have a significantly improved connection!

Sounds good! The server was down for only 40mins or so. Now it seems to be running perfectly. Haven't noticed any lag spikes or anything like that.

Server emptied again, atleast to myself and some others, I was busy and AFK while it happend and when I went to log back onto client there were 3 players on as compared to the 6 that were on when I logged in prior to the emptying.

Yeah server emptied at 01:19ish Eastern as well.

Server down. 9:30am est. Not sure how long it has been down for, I was just getting on for the first time this a.m

Was rebooting the server, also had some updates to install. (Not to the mod.)
