Pretty sure Dev Crit still auto failed on a 1. Considering that was my first character and that's what he did was dev crit people.

Using a restore spell on a stunned team mate healed them from a monk's stunfist.
It's a lot to expect and ask of players to carry around those golden egg items "pearl something" and restore a teammate being punched instead of chasing down a kill.
Just easier to impliment things that nerf classes.
(Btw death-attack from assassin class is worthless because a death-attacked character can cure themselves, stunned character's were disabled until death or help from an ally.)
