Sad It seems all the badgers have fled Anphillia. Haven't seen any deer or brown bear either.

I've seen lots in my travels. They were there before the last reset. Saw lots out in the forest, some in the snow and even some in a cave.

Tailoring/tanning resources got moved around a bit, Razz

The animals have migrated farther from the forts... or became a bit extinct around the forts... look in the grand forest to find the new spawns

Yea...

Tried that. All that got me was broke with an XP penalty. bounce
I donated 780GP to the druids of meteor worship.

That was no fun.
I don't wanna stress over badgers.

Crafting is already a PITA can we try to keep it fun?

I think there should be some Badgers in areas that are accessible to newbie characters that don't need a level 20+ escort to gather a few small pelts.

Having to wait until high level to start tanning would be a pain. I find crafting keeps the game fun, if all you do is run around and kill things when there is no one else active to interract with, you get bored quite quickly.

I haven't looked in a few weeks but I thought I saw some in the temple areas near the fort, also the forest areas (south then west in cCleaven, er south then east for Axfell?) where the bears are.

Shouldn't need a 20+ escort if you've got a way to stay invisible and run as soon as you see green running towards you. Lag is lag and nothing can be done about lag causing the gap to close between a player and a druid... or a player and a trent. (If low lvls even spawn those...) -i think those are the only things in the GF that have see invis or TS. -of course if a higher lvl gets to those areas before you and manages to spawn things, yeah most likely a low lvl might have to run from a lot of druids.
Also pre. 15-20 who has enough coin to afford getting very far in tanning? -especially if they lvl up off a few badgers and get access to the "useless" pelts like black bat or white crag cat

Well I've been searching for badgers since this weekend.

Obviously...

So far they are only in the Grand forest protected by druids.

Same for deer.

None by the bears. No brown bears either.
None by the temple.
None by the beetles.

So I gave up on tanning. To do armor.
Bad idea cause I need hides for armor.
Tailoring is worthless cause you need hides too.

So I've been trying to do a re-roll and make a sorc to do jewelry but I keep getting illegal character errors.

I'm a wiz so invis is no problem. There is no way to get away from the green blur + meteor swarm. Their aggro range is farther than the player can see and before you know it you're in meteor hell. Yesterday I transitioned into a zone and fuge loaded before the forest zone. It was a druid.

There are 4-5 badgers that spawn in the snowy area north of Axfell. The cleft I think it is.

I feel your tailoring pain. Work the hell out of black bats and only use badger wyhen you have to.

Those are gone.

I've had 4 people take me there IC. Each time I hold my breath hoping they are there.

I'll try bats if I have the option.

UPDATE:

The only options available at start are
Badger
Deer
Cougar
Bear
