Ladders, Jails And You!

At some point, or another, I'll be hosting 'Anphillia Exodus' for a short while.

The purpose of this is to get some player input on the PvP systems used there and perhaps (Depending entirely on what the general consensus is) include them here.

I'd really like to stress that this doesn't mean that the systems ARE coming here and that if they do, they won't necessarily be done in the same way.


The systems being tested are as follows:

Ladder System
Player Jail System


Module Specifics:

I'll post server name / ip, when it's up. I'll leave it as local host, so people are able to export their existing characters and use them (Without going through all the hassle of creating new ones). If you're running around with non-anphillia items you will, obviously, be kicked.

You'll all be levelled to 40, given anything your heart desires and sent off to kill each other for the glory of... erm. For the fun of it.

I'll try and facilitate letting everyone have a go assaulting and defending as well as simulate a jailbreak.

I would also ask that you pay particular attention to any positives and negatives of the layout of the assault-areas, as well.

Nevermind, it was a slight bug with nwn! It's fine now... so long as I don't DM!

Edit: It's not fine, with any DM. Time to fix it. I'll letcha know when it's alive.

Ohh, I'll see if I can fix-up something that doesn't use the big ol' CEP.

I'm surprised people don't have the new one, though I'll try to accommodate everyone!

The server will be going up a few times in the next week, for those who don't know yet, there is an NPC at the gate of each fort which will level, and port you to various shops.

This is up again, because the servers down.

It still requires CEP (Sorry Wordack - but on the plus side it does look pretty!).

I've nothing against you testing character builds and whatnot, though Exodus's systems are different from here - just test the ladders. And for the love of god, someone post about them!

NB:

Ladders are available from fort merchants, in the misc section, they look like hammers. (Called "Ladder Kits").

NPC's will port you to various locations - not Ranzington as of yet, you'll need to run south from the forest port if you want scrolls and such.

It's also set to reload when empty, so you can all logout and switch roles or whatnot.

Shout is enabled.


I can't guarantee it won't be laggy / go down for a short while. Wireless and all!

And a heads up: shifters are pretty broken on the test mod, since the proper shifter overrides are not installed.

And harpers will only be able to take 5 levels!

Does it concern Druids with Dragonshape too?

Honestly? I don't remember. Maybe.
