Missing/bad strings

Recently on trying to play I've noticed that all custom spells and content have bad string references or no name strings at all. All spells known/memorized show up as blank in the spell book. On trying to level up there are colorful icons but not names for these spells.

Now no spells at all have a description. Not custom or standard ones.

I've tried emptying my override folder and re-downloading the proper overrides but that has not helped.

Any ideas?

Shifter and RDD forms do not work properly either.

I don't have the spells coloured.
Perhaps the hak which modifies the appearance of the spells can be the responsable.

Upon further investigation it appears the Higher Ground Enhanced haks don't mix well with the custom content here.

Could you elaborate? I am having the same issue. I removed the HG stuff but its still the same problem

What you may have to do is find someone with the unmodified files and grab those, as that's what I had to do. One of the files, I believe it's the cep2_custom.hak file.

would reinstalling cep work?

It's just that one file you need to replace, but probably yes.

Had that problem before, I reinstalled CEP stuff's. And it was resolved..
