Greater Stat Buffs and You
Does anyone else think it's silly for the greater books to only give you a flat+2 to a stat? I get AT LEAST +2 usually more from a regular stat buff... so what makes GREATER so GREAT? IT'S NOT! Now I get the logic behind lowering it... +5 flat is a lot, then when you cast something especially if you can maximize it you've got +10 right there and you're almost capped out without even wearing any gear. But come on... make GREATER be GREATER! If Regular is 1+1d4 perhaps Greater could be 2+1d4 or something, guaranteed 3 and with a higher potential yield and THEN maybe you can call it greater. But until then it can only be called LESSER SOMETHING SOMETHING.

If I remember correctly, this change was made so it's not so easy to max all the abilities at +12
It's not really that crippling, people may actually start taking maximize spell!

Find an Ioun!
Greater books stack with lesser buffs, and can't be dispelled.
I think the change was aimed at being a shifter-nerf, that didn't really work.
