New Player - Hello!

Hi all, just getting back into the original NWN. It's great to see a server running the classic way and using ATS (my personal favorite). I'll make a char bio soon and look forward to meeting you all in game.

One quick question though (as I am a crafting fool)...I'm on Axfell side; where the heck do I mine rough malachite!?

I haven't done jewels in ages and ages, I think Malachite is in the Forgotten Shrine.

As a dwarf, you should gather rough malachites off the bodies of dead gobbo shamans ridin' them worgs in Rustin - Point
By the way, you picked the shittiest trade there is - most rewarding, but it takes ages....  

Yeah I'm starting to find a couple of the rough malachite on the mounted gobs. Would definitely be an option to get through that first phase (especially if a person can't survive the Forgotten Temple).

And I hear ya, it is certainly a difficult road of tow, but I'm seeing just a TINY bit of light from the other end. I'm also doing weapons and armor too (I'll be finished in about 3 years lol). My dwarf is spending LOTS of time mining , but I'm lovin it lol (I wanna make him a true metal-master)!

Smithing is very easy but it will eventually require groups to gain access to some superior ingots and rough gems. Malachite is the the Forgotten Temple. I do not know of another area the can be mined it.

If you must have them but cannot defeat the crazy rats just try to find an ally to clear it for you.

And I'm looking forward to grouping as I gradually get to the point of being able to "contribute" to a group.
