Persistant quests

When I was a child, growing up in rural Kentucky, I had the best friend a boy could hope for. My dear old dog, Honey. Oh ho ho, the adventures we had. We played nwn on Dallin Blackhearts server all day long.
back then there were persistant quests.quests where one faction had to gather 10000 fire beetle bellies for example.once the goal was reached the faction was rewarded with something.i dont recall what.the reward was that meaningess.but it sat a goal for a faction.complete with scoreboards on the top10 gatherers.they used nwn database but u can use mysql if you use nwnx to store the stats.
something like that would be aaaaawesome!!!111!!

yea...then in the very end he created that area close to Svirfneblin and not sure if he got lazy or just didn't have time but he put like 10 000 of 8 different variables to be collected.
That was the time I quit.

I even tried to RP it. There's no way I am ever getting that bow. Even if I went on some trip, I would just lose it in dice.
