Auto-boot script

I have been seeing a number of players just logging in and not moving all day just to get the free exp the mod dishes out.
Should action be taken?

I think that people just staying logged in to xp soak helps the server look healthier than it is. As long as the server is not lagging because of having to many people I don't see a problem with it. I don't think we are at that point yet are we?

We had 2 days where there were 26 people logged in for over 3 hours, about 10 of them were AFK. I wont say any names--they know who they are--but there are a few players that havent even played at all, they have just been sitting AFK for free exp, and that is annoying me. They are always logged in, and never playing.

Maybe this a wild idea but what about a script that doesnt give exp to people afk for more than a certain time. I have seen this before in some servers and i think it works properly.

Well the part that annoys me the most isnt the sitting there for free exp, its sitting there and taking up space that could be used by other players that have the drive to play. But that is something I will look into.

I don't think other than the day when the cap was at 20 that we've had people not being able to get in. As for the lag, it's not been bad from my perspective and I'm not sure when we have it it is from soakers.

If we are at or near player capacity soakers should get kicked, but I think it's ok for people to get on and soak that can't play all the time and am not in favor of an auto-kick script unless it were to really start to be an evident problem.

I am not in favor of the kick script. I play nearly everyday for atleast 2 hours easy. When I plan on leaving the house or going to bed I leave my character on for the exp but I dont log on simply to go afk.. If im playing and I must leave then I will go afk.. I think as long as its not keeping other players from logging in its not really a problem. Unless its people that dont even know the surroundings of their fort because they havnt even gone out the forts walls.

I leave myself logged in over night but I think I am one of the afk autotimexp leachers that actually -do- play. ... and thats really poor english xD but i hope some of you understand what i meant...
I'm active if at least sitting around multitasking still able to roleplay but unable to get out the fort and handle fighting things half focused.

I'd like to continue leaving my characters logged in over night and while I'm off at class (which isn't all that much of a number in comparison to the free time i spend being active.)

But being on cleavenside, I understand your point of the whole AFK issue. I'm glad to hear things in axfell are different.

I agree with what TheeVals says I also leave mine on while im at school or asleep from time to time but all and all I play alot. Many people leave it on just because I know with myself i have school work and then sleep to take up alot of the day and I dont wanna fall way behind when those days come. So I leave it on to soak some exp, If you need to make room I encourage you took kick me for it if im Idle.

To the cleavens involved in this we would appreciated more play time on cleaven side...
