DM Notes suggestion
Could Assassin class be counted as Melee class?
Or it doesn't count as melee class so folks don't run around with epic gloves of disc?

Yes, it's so they don't use melee gear. Designed for melees. Not sneakers!

Re: DM Notes suggestion
That probably confuses people, with the type being called 'Melee' which suggests anyone who uses a weapon in short range combat. Brainstorm a different term? Warrior/Open Combat etc...

Re: DM Notes suggestion
The items are there to allow different classes to excel at their natural abilities.
Skill dumping with one class for a battle-caster, for discipline, shouldn't allow them to be as disciplined as someone with 15 levels in such a class - just as an example.
One could argue a battle-mage was still melee, since they perform melee functions as well - albeit aimlessly flailing with a staff while in expertise.
In just the same way, a mage could take one level of rogue and dump hide / ms - but it doesn't mean they should be able to excel at sneaking as someone with X sneaker levels do. Even though they will sneak and are "sneakers".
As for it being confusing, there's a list, that shows you what everything is, within the journal!
